Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, on Tuesday received a telephone call from Dr Mark Carney, Prime Minister of Canada.

The telephone discussions centered on the ongoing military escalation in the region and its troubling implications for the security and stability of states. The conversation also underscored the imperative of upholding the principles of international law, with both leaders calling for a cessation of the conflict and a return to the avenues of dialogue and diplomacy to address its underlying causes, thereby safeguarding populations and preserving regional and global stability.
