Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Friday received a telephone call from President Dr Frank-Walter Steinmeier of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The discussion during the call addressed the escalating military operations in the region and their repercussions on the security and stability of nations.

The German President conveyed his condemnation of the attacks targeting the Sultanate of Oman, the GCC states and several other countries in the region. Both sides underscored the imperative of ceasing the conflict and called upon the warring parties to abide by international law and revert to the diplomatic path, thereby contributing to the preservation of state sovereignty and the enhancement of security and stability in the region.
