NIZWA: The second edition of the awareness campaign for organ donation, under the slogan ‘Gift of Life,’ was held in Nizwa. The campaign is organised by the Omani Centre for Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation in cooperation with the Omani Association for Organ Transplantation.
The event featured several interactive and educational corners providing visitors with comprehensive information on donation and transplantation. These included a corner introducing organ donation and its procedures, a corner on blood and bone marrow donation, and a special corner for the Endowment Health Foundation (Athar).
The campaign aims to raise public awareness about the importance of organ donation, foster values of human solidarity and highlight the role of youth in community initiatives supporting the nation’s health system. Organisers emphasised that such initiatives contribute to creating a culture of voluntary donation and strengthen the community’s commitment to humanitarian efforts. - ONA
