Under the auspices of Ahmed bin Mohammed al Humaidi, Chairman of Muscat Municipality, the launch of the Awareness Walk and Festival for World AIDS Day 2025 will take place on Thursday, December 4. The event is organised by Positive Vision Association in partnership with the Ministry of Health to promote awareness and a culture of inclusion.

Ahmed bin Mohammed al Humaidi, Chairman of Muscat Municipality, stated, “Muscat Municipality is committed to supporting initiatives that enhance community well-being and quality of life. The Awareness Walk and Community Engagement Festivities for World AIDS Day 2025 reflect the importance of public spaces as platforms for awareness and unity. We hope this event strengthens a culture of respect, acceptance and inclusion, sending a clear message that our society has space for everyone without stigma or discrimination.”

This year’s event is made possible through the generous contribution of Al Jisr Foundation, the main sponsor, whose support has been central to expanding the Association’s outreach and community impact. Positive Vision Association also extends its appreciation to the supporting sponsors, Sohar International Bank, Petroleum Development Oman, Mohammed Al Barwani Foundation and Omantel.

The event will bring together the general public, healthcare professionals, youth volunteers, and families for a day of awareness, reflection, and solidarity.

The event aims to create a safe and welcoming space where visitors can access trustworthy information, take part in health education sessions, and join community activities designed to break the silence and stigma surrounding HIV and AIDS.
