Muscat: The horse 'Azza', owned by the Royal Cavalry, secured first place in the fourth race held at Abu Dhabi Racecourse in the United Arab Emirates on Saturday.

The race was dedicated to maiden Purebred Arabian horses over a distance of 1,600 metres. 'Azza' delivered an impressive performance under jockey Ray Dawson and was trained by Ibrahim al Hadhrami.

While 'Sawan' finished second, owned by Yas Racing and ridden by jockey Silvestre De Sousa under the supervision of trainer Majed al Jahwari.

Third place was snatched by 'Fernakten Tern', owned by Khalid al Nabooda, with jockey Tadhg O’Shea in the saddle and trained by Ernst Oertel.
