HM holds talks with regional leaders

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held two telephone conversations with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt and King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to discuss the latest military escalation in the region following the Israeli and US strikes on the Islamic Republic of Iran.

During the calls, the leaders reviewed the repercussions of the developments on regional and global security and stability.

They underscored the importance of the immediate cessation of mutual bombardment and stressed the need to return to dialogue and diplomatic channels to contain the crisis and safeguard peace in the region and beyond.
