Public urged to exercise caution in circulating online content

Muscat: In light of the prevailing regional developments, citizens and residents have been urged to uphold national responsibility and exercise caution in sharing information, particularly on social media platforms.


In an official advisory, the concerned authorities emphasised the importance of refraining from publishing or circulating images and video clips of military and security installations and equipment during this sensitive period. The statement also cautioned against the dissemination of rumours or unverified information that may compromise public order or national security.
