

Muscat: Sayyid Badr al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister, via phone calls, discussed with several counterparts and officials in the European Union, the dangerous developments taking place in the region, exchanged points of view on ways to contain the escalation and urged the parties to exercise restraint, and return to dialogue and diplomacy to resolve the ongoing conflict between the United States and Israel on one side and the Islamic Republic of Iran on the other.
Telephone conversations took place with Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan; Espen Barth Eide, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Norway; and Anne-Marie Trevelyan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, the Commonwealth and Development in the United Kingdom.
He also spoke to Kaja Kallas, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission.
