The Foreign Ministry has expressed the Sultanate of Oman's deep regret over the military operations launched by Israel and the United States of America against the Islamic Republic of Iran, warning of the danger of the conflict escalating to disastrous consequences in the region.

The Sultanate of Oman considers this action to be contrary to the rules of international law and the principle of resolving issues through peaceful means, not through hostilities and bloodshed.

It calls on all parties to immediately suspend military operations and urges the United Nations Security Council to convene an emergency meeting to impose a ceasefire and for the international community to take a clear stance in support of international law.

The Sultanate of Oman also affirms the right of states to self-defense in accordance with international law, while simultaneously calling for restraint and adherence to diplomatic solutions.
