Ramadhan Flight Checklist
Traveling during Ramadan requires more planning than a typical flight. Reviewing an airline’s on-time performance before purchasing a ticket can significantly reduce uncertainty. Passengers may also wish to consider whether an airline offers structured Ramadhan-related services, depending on their individual travel needs.
Carriers such as Qatar Airways, which distributes clearly timed iftar and suhoor meal boxes across its long-haul network, Etihad Airways, which offers complimentary Ramadhan meals on many long-haul routes, and Saudia, known for broad Ramadan service coverage across its network, have built systems that support fasting passengers; other airlines require requests 48 to even 72 hours in advance. Special meals are widely available, but confirming timelines is necessary to ensure the right service is provided.
