KUWAIT: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, took part in the closing ceremony of 'Kuwait: Capital of Arab Culture and Media 2025', held at the Shaikh Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Centre under the auspices of Shaikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber al Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait.
The Sultanate of Oman’s delegation was headed by Sayyid Saud bin Hilal al Busaidy, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth.
The participation reflects efforts to strengthen cultural ties among Arab nations and underscores the importance of joint action in supporting the Arab cultural movement and reinforcing its role in building bridges of communication between peoples.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth met with Prof Dr Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO).
The meeting discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two sides.
This participation affirms the ministry’s commitment to expanding partnerships with regional and international institutions, thereby strengthening the Sultanate of Oman’s presence in the Arab cultural landscape and supporting cultural integration efforts among nations. - ONA
