MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman is gearing up to host two major beach volleyball events in October 2025, with the shores of the capital, Muscat, set to welcome elite men’s and women’s teams from across the Arab and Asian regions.
From October 13 to 19, 2025, Oman will stage the 30th Arab Men’s Championship and the 20th Arab Women’s Championship, organised by the Oman Volleyball Association (OVA) under the supervision of the Arab Volleyball Federation. The tournament will feature broad participation from Arab national teams in a competitive atmosphere designed to enhance the sport’s presence in the region and raise technical standards.
Immediately following this, from October 19 to 22, 2025, Muscat will also host the fourth round of the West Asia Beach Volleyball Tour for men and women, organised in collaboration with the West Asia Volleyball Federation. The event will draw leading national teams from the West Asia region, further cementing Oman’s position as a regional hub for beach sports competitions.
The Oman Volleyball Association (OVA) has confirmed its full readiness on both technical and organisational levels, noting that hosting these championships aligns with its strategy to support the sport, expand its grassroots base, and promote the Sultanate of Oman as an attractive international sports destination.
