Seeb Club secured a deserved 82–42 victory over Salalah Club in the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth Basketball Shield for the 2026 season. The match was held at the secondary hall of Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher. With this result, Seeb raised its tally to six points.
Seeb dominated proceedings from the outset, imposing its rhythm both defensively and offensively while capitalising on scoring opportunities to steadily widen the gap. Despite attempts by Salalah to reduce the deficit at various stages, Seeb maintained control throughout the contest. Mamoudi Badji, Abdulrahman al Maamari, Al Waqas al Hinai and Ayman al Muhrami delivered notable performances for Seeb, while Ayman Mustahail and Qaisar al Balushi stood out for Salalah.
Seeb made a strong start in the opening quarter, taking early initiative and doubling its lead within minutes. Solid defensive organisation enabled quick transitions, allowing the team to close the first quarter comfortably ahead 26–10.
The dominance continued in the second quarter as Seeb added 21 points while restricting Salalah to just eight, heading into halftime with a commanding 47–18 advantage.
Salalah showed improvement after the break, particularly in defence, applying a zone system that limited Seeb’s scoring options. However, Seeb’s experience proved decisive as they added 15 points against Salalah’s 12 to extend the lead to 62–30 at the end of the third quarter.
In the final period, Seeb regained offensive momentum, scoring 20 more points while Salalah managed 12, sealing an emphatic 82–42 victory.
The match was officiated by international referee Issam al Siyabi as first referee, Mazin al Hilali as second referee and Ali al Suleimani was the third referee. The scorers’ table included Munira al Numaniyah, Maida al Hamdaniyah and Mahmoud al Ajmi.
