4th edition of 'Together Forward' forum on Sunday

Muscat- The fourth edition of the 'Together Forward' forum will commence on Sunday, organized annually by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in compliance with the supreme directives of His Majesty the Sultan to enhance communication between the government and society

The forum will listen to the opinions, suggestions, and aspirations of citizens in various fields.

The forum aims to inform citizens about development policies, programs, and government initiatives, and will also give them the opportunity to express their opinions and suggestions, as well as share their concerns and challenges with decision-makers in a constructive participatory environment.

This year’s forum agenda will include several discussion and dialogue sessions, whose topics revolve around vital themes that touch upon societal interest and contribute to comprehensive national development.


On its first day, the forum will address the theme of “Oman 2040” vision by reviewing the level of progress made in achieving the vision’s indicators and targets after five years of implementation, in addition to addressing the economic and developmental paths of the eleventh five-year plan.

The first axis will also include investment aspirations in priority economic sectors, namely: manufacturing, tourism, and the digital economy, and the role of the private sector in promoting investment in these sectors. The first day will include an evening session focusing on the axis of governorate development and its role in promoting investment in the aforementioned priority economic sectors.

The second day of the forum will feature several sessions highlighting several themes and topics, including: improving government services to enhance productivity and competitiveness, self-employment and entrepreneurship to build a productive national economy and a sustainable labor market, in addition to a dialogue session on the topic of the economy and the business environment. The forum will also be accompanied by an exhibition entitled “Achievements of the Present and Visions of the Future”.

The winning teams in the “Ideas Makers - Hamat” program will be announced during the forum. The program aims to promote creativity and innovative thinking, nurture creative youth, contribute to sustainable development, and consolidate the principle of citizenship.
