MUSCAT: The voting phase to select the topics for the fourth edition of the "Together Forward" forum in 2026 began on Monday. The forum is organised annually by the Secretariat-General of the Council of Ministers in implementation of the Royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to extend bridges of communication with society through open dialogues and to entrench community participation in shaping future directions and strategies.
This phase, which precedes the forum registration stage and continues until October 5, allows participants to vote on the pillars of the forum's fourth edition. The electronic voting system enables participants to choose one main theme for the forum from among three proposed options.
The first theme is "Oman Vision 2040: The Reality of Achievement and Horizons of Progress", which will address the levels of progress in achieving the vision's targets five years after its launch, alongside the economic and developmental trajectory of the current Eleventh Five-Year Plan.
The second proposed theme focuses on "Investment Aspirations in Oman's Priority Economic Sectors". It will discuss investment in manufacturing industries and its impact on export growth, improving the trade balance and the tourism sector. It will also highlight the digital economy's contribution to employment and innovation, and the private sector's role in boosting investment in manufacturing, tourism and the digital economy.
