The Muscat Steel Football Co-League 2026, the new edition of the corporate football league organised by Sports Mania in collaboration with the Oman Football Association, will kick off on Monday with the participation of eight teams.

The technical committee conducted the official draw at the Muscat Steel offices, the league’s official sponsor, in the presence of representatives from all participating teams, organisers, and committee members. The draw resulted in the following group allocations:

Group A features OQ Exploration & Production (OQEP), Security & Safety Services (SSS), Takaful Oman and Hotpack, while Group B includes Muscat Steel, DHL Express Services, JCDecaux and Dhofar Insurance.

The tournament will follow a single round-robin league format within each group, where teams compete against one another to determine standings based on points earned. Following the group stage, teams will be ranked according to points earned, with all teams progressing to the knockout phase. Fixtures will follow a seeded format, with the group leaders facing fourth-placed teams, while second place meets third.

The competition will be played in a 6-a-side format, with five outfield players plus a goalkeeper for each team. All matches will take place at Nawras North Court in the Seeb area.

The league is expected to witness strong competition given the teams’ level of preparation. In addition to trophies and medals, the champions and runners-up will receive cash prizes.
