Nizwa: The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA), in coordination with several government entities, has seized adulterated spices during an inspection campaign in Al Dakhliyah Governorate.

According to the authority, the seizure took place in the Wilayat of Nizwa, where inspectors identified a labour-operated facility involved in repackaging food items that did not meet basic regulatory requirements. The seized spices were found to lack essential product information, including production and expiry dates, posing a potential risk to consumer health.

The total quantity of adulterated spices confiscated during the operation exceeded 1,000 kilograms. In addition to the food items, all equipment and tools used in the repackaging and packing process were also seized.

The Consumer Protection Authority stated that the action was taken as part of ongoing efforts to safeguard public health and ensure compliance with food safety regulations. Legal procedures are being completed against the violators in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
