AL BURAIMI: Al Buraimi Lights Festival, currently underway in the Wilayat of Al Buraimi, offers an innovative visual experience and highlights the historical and cultural landmarks of Al Buraimi Governorate in a modern and creative style. Light and projection displays have transformed several prominent locations into interactive platforms that reflect the cultural identity with a contemporary spirit.
The displays are distributed across four main landmarks: Al Buraimi Gateway, Al Hilla Fort, Al Khandaq Fort and Al Buraimi Oasis (City Centre).
The festival is accompanied by activities at Al Buraimi Oasis Square, including: the Wamdat Idrak (Glimpse of Awareness) exhibition specialising in lighting, an open-air theatre for artistic performances and folk troupes, musical concerts, booths for local artisans and producers, electronic and electric games, face painting and a food court, all of which provide a comprehensive experience suitable for all ages.
The Al Buraimi Winter Festival is aimed at positioning the governorate as a focal point and attractive tourist destination during the winter season. The programme was characterised by its diversity with a clear focus on the current events being held at Al Buraimi Park, which proved to be a major magnet for visitors. Al Buraimi Governorate is also preparing to host a motorsports championship as part of the Al Buraimi Winter Festival programme. — ONA
