

SALALAH: Nama Dhofar Services, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and the Authority for Public Services Regulation (APSR), conducted recruitment examinations on Sunday for job-seekers under the training-for-employment track.
The initiative covers 467 new job opportunities within operational companies contracted by the utility provider, as part of the initiatives led by the Employment Governance and In-Country Value (ICV) Committee in the public services sector.
The announcement of these vacancies aligns with Nama Dhofar Services' commitment to enhancing recruitment and training fields and supporting ongoing cooperation with the Ministry of Labour. These efforts aim to empower national cadres and raise their readiness to join the labour market.
Nasser bin Salim al Hadhrami, Director-General of Labour in Dhofar Governorate, stated that the implemented initiatives represent a crucial element in bolstering local employment opportunities and equipping Omani youth with the necessary skills for market integration.
He emphasised the ministry's endeavour to create an attractive work environment and provide qualitative training programmes that meet market requirements in partnership with Nama Group.
He further noted that the Directorate continues to monitor the implementation of Omanisation and replacement policies while expanding cooperation with the private sector to provide sustainable and diverse career opportunities in vital sectors across Dhofar.
Jaber bin Salem al Rawahi, General Manager of Human Resources at Nama Dhofar Services, noted that recruitment initiatives are a fundamental pillar in providing work opportunities for job-seekers and preparing Omani youth for the professional landscape.
He affirmed the company's commitment to supporting Omanisation plans and strengthening the partnership with the Ministry of Labour.
He explained that the available opportunities span water, wastewater and electricity projects within supporting companies, following successive stages of the Omanisation initiative in permanent contracts. This contributes to supplying the sector with qualified national competencies and achieving the goals of Oman Vision 2040. He also pointed out that the recruitment process is conducted via the 'Tawteen' platform in coordination with the Ministry of Labour, stressing that these efforts meet the needs of the utility sectors and improve services through trained national personnel.
The offered career opportunities include vacancies in operational companies contracted with Nama Dhofar Services across the electricity, water and sewage sectors. - ONA
