

Muscat: The second round of the first stage of the Oman Basketball League Finals for the 2025–26 season produced two standout results, with Al Bashayer defeating Nizwa 89–75, while Seeb claimed a commanding 110–39 victory over Salalah.
With these results, Al Bashayer moved up to 12 points, Seeb to 11 points, while Nizwa remained on 8 points and Salalah on 7.
The opening match saw an intense and fast-paced contest between Al Bashayer and Nizwa, before Al Bashayer gradually asserted their superiority thanks to their strong team chemistry and balance in both offence and defence. Demont Harris, Noah al Mahrouqi, Hadeet Beit Bakhit, Ibrahima Thomas, and Osama al Riyami led the scoring for Al Bashayer, while Kingsley, Mohammed al Anqoodi, and Saeed Ghassan stood out for Nizwa.
Al Bashayer made a strong start, imposing their style of play early and finishing the first quarter ahead 23–14. They maintained control in the second quarter, adding 22 points to Nizwa’s 16 to go into half-time with a 45–30 lead.
Nizwa showed improvement offensively in the third quarter, scoring 21 points, but Al Bashayer kept their edge with 22 points of their own to extend their lead to 67–51 at the end of the quarter.
In the final quarter, Nizwa pushed hard and scored 24 points in an attempt to close the gap, but Al Bashayer managed the game intelligently, adding 22 points to seal an 89–75 victory.
The match was officiated by international referee Issam al Siyabi as first referee, Mazin al Hilali as second referee, and international referee Wafa al Samari as third referee, with Maryam al Zadjali, Huda al Hinai and Majid al Akhzami on the scorers’ table.
SEEB DOMINATE
In the second match, Seeb delivered a powerful attacking display to underline their title ambitions, sweeping aside Salalah with a dominant 110–39 win after taking full control from the second quarter onwards.
Ahmed al Sinani, Al Waqas al Hinai, Abdulrahman al Shueibi and Zakariya al Wihaibi led the scoring for Seeb, while Mohammed al Hooti and Majid al Shajabi were the most prominent players for Salalah.
The first quarter was relatively balanced, with Seeb edging it 19–17, before their offence exploded in the second quarter, where they scored 36 points compared to just six for Salalah, taking a commanding 55–23 lead into half-time.
Seeb continued their dominance in the third quarter, adding 34 points while
Salalah managed only five, stretching the margin to 86–28.
In the final quarter, Seeb maintained the same rhythm, scoring 24 points to Salalah’s 10, completing an emphatic 110–39 victory.
The match was officiated by international referee Rashid al Mushaifri as first referee, Ali al Salmani as second referee, and international referee Thani al Khalasi as third referee, with Omaima al Hajri, Huda al Hinai and Hafez Awlad Ahmed at the scorers’ table.
