The Arab Shooting Championship for pistol and air weapons 2025 concluded on Thursday, following several days of intense competition and high technical standards, during which medals were awarded across individual and team events for both men and women.


The final day of competition featured a series of decisive contests, in the men’s 50 metre rifle individual event, Ali bin Sulaiman al Saeedi of Oman claimed the gold medal, while Khalid al Dossary of Bahrain finished second to take silver, Khalid Al Majed of Kuwait secured the bronze medal.

Oman continued their strong showing in the men’s 50 metre rifle team event, capturing the gold medal ahead of Kuwait, which took silver and Bahrain, which finished with the bronze, in the men’s 25-metre rapid fire pistol individual competition, Safar al Dossary of Saudi Arabia won the gold medal, Omani shooters Moaz al Balushi and Yousuf al Khatri completed the podium, earning silver and bronze respectively.


Saudi Arabia also topped the podium in the men’s 25 metre pistol team event, followed by Oman in second place, while Qatar secured the bronze medal, the women’s competitions saw Fawzia Mohammed of Bahrain claim gold in the 50 metre rifle individual event, with her teammate Sara Khalaf taking silver, Maryam Lorzouqi of Kuwait earned the bronze medal.

Bahrain continued their dominance in the women’s 50 metre rifle team competition, winning gold, while Oman finished second and Kuwait claimed the bronze.


The championship concluded amid widespread praise from participating delegations for the event’s high organisational standards and competitive quality, reaffirming its status as one of the leading shooting tournaments in the Arab region.
