

The delegation was headed by Her Highness Sayyida Dr Mona bint Fahd al-Said, Assistant Vice-Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University for International Cooperation and Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum, accompanied by Jamal bin Hassan al Moosawi, Secretary-General of the National Museum and Ambassador Abdullah bin Hamad al-Riyami, Head of the Cultural Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Discussions focused on ways to enhance academic and research cooperation, Arabic language education, cultural exchange, student exchange programmes, reciprocal visits by researchers between Sultan Qaboos University and the Belarusian side, and the development of cultural and knowledge-based partnerships that serve the shared interests of the two friendly countries.
The delegation also viewed a special exhibition on Omani literature, highlighting Omani intellectual and literary output and its development, reflecting the strength of the cultural ties between the two countries. In addition, the delegation visited a number of the University’s faculties to familiarise themselves with their facilities and academic programmes.
It enjoys a distinguished global standing, being ranked among the top 1% of universities worldwide in the 2025 QS World University Rankings.
The University encompasses an integrated educational and research system and plays a leading role in promoting cultural diplomacy and international knowledge exchange, thereby reinforcing its position as a civilisational bridge linking the Republic of Belarus with the wider world.
