MUSCAT: Indian School Wadi Kabir (ISWK), Preparatory and Foundation Stages, celebrated its 37th Founders’ Day with grandeur and creative brilliance.

The celebration commenced with the arrival of the chief guest, HH Sayyid Mohammed bin Salim al Said, who was welcomed with an impressive fanfare — marking a moment of immense honour for the school. He was accompanied by the Guests of Honour, Dr Nasser al Tai, scholar, educator and composer, and Ali al Ajmi, Investment Section Researcher and International School Specialist from the Ministry of Education, along with Chief Patron Kiran Asher, Executive Director Rajendra Ved, Assistant Executive Director Alkesh Joshi, Honorary President Sachin Ravindra Toprani, and esteemed members of the School Management Committee.

The programme officially began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the rendition of the national anthems of Oman and India. A vibrant welcome dance by the Foundation Stage students and creative performances by the Preparatory Stage beautifully brought the evening’s theme to life. The Honorary President’s address, along with the Annual Report jointly presented by Principal D N Rao and Vice-Principal Ernst Schwan, highlighted the school’s milestones, achievements and future aspirations.

A key highlight of the event was the AI-themed skit “A Day with Robo-Friends” which captivated the audience with its imaginative portrayal of human-AI collaboration. This was followed by the felicitation of long-serving staff members completing 10, 15, 20 and 25 years of dedicated service, along with special honours for distinguished educators Vanessa Varela Travas and Roxanna Ann Rafferty. The school also proudly recognised Shifas P Bava, bronze medallist at the World Masters Games in Taiwan, as well as exceptional student achievers who excelled at national and international levels in academics, sports and co-scholastic domains.
