'Bint Al Taylah' owned by the Royal Camel Corps recorded the best overall time among 5 km rounds at Al Felaij track in Barka, while 'Al Barq' owned by the Royal Camel Corps achieved the fastest timing among 6 km rounds.
At Al Bashayer track in Adam, ‘Al Aalami’ owned by Majid al Darai clocked the best overall time among 5 km rounds, while ‘Al Asimah’ owned by Ali al Jahafi registered the fastest timing among 6 km rounds.
The Ministry of Culture, Sport and Youth (MoCSY) concluded the second camel race of the 2025–26 annual on Sunday with vibrant and competitive races held simultaneously at Al Felaij track in the Wilayat of Barka and Al Bashayer track in the Wilayat of Adam, attracting around 600 participating camels across both venues.
Under the auspices of Shaikh Said bin Saud al Ghafri, Chairman of the Oman Camel Racing Federation (OCRF), the final day concluded with the crowning of main-round winners, reflecting the high calibre of Omani-bred camels and the growing enthusiasm of owners and trainers nationwide.
Each venue featured the same competitive programme comprising six rounds for the Elythaa category, three years old, for 5 km. Three rounds for the Thanaya category, five years old, for 6 km. And three rounds for the Al Hawl category, six years and above, for 6 km.
The Oman Camel Racing Federation announced that the third event of the 2025–26 season will be held in Thamrait, Dhofar Governorate, from November 17 to 23, featuring competitive races, camel beauty contests (Mozainah) and camel milk competitions (Mohalabah).
The fourth event, representing the third official race meet of the season, will follow from October 30 to November 1 at both Al Felaij track in the Wilayat of Barka and Al Bashayer track in the Wilayat of Adam, continuing the momentum of national competitions across key racing venues.
