Lebanese president leaves Oman after two-day official visit

Muscat: The President of the Lebanese Republic departed Oman after a two-day official visit, one that concluded on Thursday. His Highness the Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs was at the forefront of those bidding farewell to the president at the Royal Private Airport.

Earlier in the day, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held a private meeting with the Lebanese president at Al Alam Palace. The two leaders reviewed areas of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on a range of issues of mutual interest. They underscored the importance of widening opportunities for partnership in ways that support the interests of both countries and their peoples.

The discussions also covered ways to further strengthen relations and enhance cooperation across cultural, economic and developmental fields, reflecting the shared commitment of Oman and Lebanon to deepen collaboration at various levels.
