Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has forecast increased cloud formation and inflow of moist air over Musandam Governorate this weekend, raising the likelihood of scattered rainfall in parts of the governorate. The rains may vary in intensity, with some areas expected to experience moderate showers.

According to the latest weather outlook covering December 5–6, the rest of the Sultanate is expected to see generally partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with chances of light, isolated rain in several governorates as the system extends southward.

The CAA’s update comes as temperatures continue to drop across the country, with Saiq recording the lowest temperature nationwide at 6.8°C over the past 24 hours. Other notably cool readings included 12.5°C in Thumrait, 13.3°C in Bidiyah and 13.8°C in Muqshin. Several interior regions such as Bahla, Dhank and Yanqul also reported lows around 14°C.
