Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology (MTCIT) has said the application called Elyk Taxi has not obtained the required license under the provisions of the Land Transport Law issued by Royal Decree 10/2016, dated January 8, 2016, in addition to its executive regulations approved by Ministerial Resolution 2/2018, dated January 8, 2018.

The decision is part of the Ministry's keenness to regulate land transport activities in the Sultanate of Oman, and it called upon all licensed land transport facilities and concerned persons, as well as beneficiaries of transport services, not to deal with this application in any way.

The Ministry said it will take the necessary legal measures against any violations and calls on everyone to cooperate and report any practices related to the aforementioned application.
