Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion has issued a warning regarding the circulation of a fake document titled “Ministerial Statement,” which falsely claims to represent ministry personnel and is being used to promote unregistered online stores within the Sultanate of Oman.

The ministry clarified that the document is not authentic and forms part of attempted electronic fraud. It urges the public to avoid dealing with such unauthorized platforms and to rely solely on officially approved and licensed e-commerce stores listed on the “Tijarah” and “Ma’roof Oman” platforms.

The ministry also stressed the importance of verifying the electronic store’s communication details and ensuring it is officially registered in the commercial registry before making any transactions.

For more information and to verify store legitimacy, the public is advised to use the official platforms: www.tejarah.om and www.maruf.om.
