

KUWAIT: Dr Saleh bin Amer al Kharousi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Kuwait, held an official reception ceremony on Tuesday on the occasion of the glorious National Day. The ceremony was attended by Shaikh Ahmad Al Abdullah Al Ahmad al Sabah, Kuwait’s Prime Minister, and a number of officials.
The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation held a reception ceremony on the occasion of the glorious National Day.
The ceremony included a speech delivered by Hamood bin Salim al Tuwayah, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation, in which he affirmed that this occasion embodies the Sultanate of Oman's celebration of its ancient history, extending since the founding of the Al Busaid State on November 20, 1744, when the Founding Imam Ahmad bin Said al Busaidy united the nation's banner and established the foundations of the modern Omani state based on sovereignty, unity and dignity.
The ambassador also emphasised in his speech the wise policy of the Sultanate of Oman under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
Sergey Vershinin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, also delivered a speech in which he addressed aspects of the friendly Omani-Russian relations that have witnessed a qualitative leap since the visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the Russian Federation last April.
The ceremony, held in cooperation with the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, included an exhibition of paintings and scenery of the Sultanate of Oman, reflecting its cultural diversity and natural beauty.
A collection of Omani books and publications highlighting the history, achievements and relations of the Sultanate of Oman with countries around the world were distributed, in addition to a collection of tourist brochures reflecting the development and prosperity the Sultanate of Oman is witnessing in various fields.
The ceremony was attended by Russian officials from various government entities, a number of ambassadors of Arab and friendly countries from Asia, Europe and Africa, a number of intellectuals, academics and media professionals in Moscow, and Russian businessmen.
The ceremony was also attended by a number of Omani citizens residing in Moscow, and Omani students studying in the Russian Federation.
Shireen al Zadjali, Chargé d'Affaires at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the Republic of Singapore, hosted a reception on Tuesday on the occasion of the glorious National Day.
The ceremony was attended by a number of senior figures, including Dr Syed Harun Alhabsyi, Senior Parliamentary Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Ministry of National Development in the Republic of Singapore, who attended as the Guest of Honour, along with some members of the Singaporean Parliament.
The event was also attended by Singaporean officials, ambassadors, representatives of diplomatic missions and regional and international organisations, in addition to an elite group of political, cultural and academic figures, businessmen, and a gathering of Omani citizens.
The reception featured a visual presentation showcasing the comprehensive development milestones and urban achievements taking place in Oman, along with a photographic exhibition highlighting Oman's geographical diversity and tourist attractions.
Attendees expressed their joy on this national occasion, wishing the Sultanate of Oman – its leadership, government and people – continued progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. — ONA
