ISWK marks its 37th Founders’ Day with a showcase of talent

MUSCAT: Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir (ISWK) celebrated its 37th Founders’ Day on November 19, 2025, with grandeur and heartfelt gratitude, honouring the visionaries whose ideals shaped the institution. This year’s theme, ‘Roots and Wings', reflected the values that anchor the school and the aspirations that propel its students forward. The event seamlessly blended academic recognition with cultural vibrancy and was attended by distinguished dignitaries, parents and staff.


The Chief Guest, Hussain al Lawati, Member of the Majlis Ash'shura, and Member of the Youth and Human Resource Committee, was warmly received by members of the School Managing Committee, distinguished dignitaries, Principal D N Rao, Vice-Principals and special guests.


The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising the triumph of knowledge over ignorance, followed by the national anthems of Oman and India.


In the welcome address, the significance of the theme ‘Roots and Wings’ was emphasised, highlighting ISWK’s steadfast commitment to nurturing values while fostering creativity, confidence and innovation.


A major highlight of the evening was the felicitation of academic achievers of Grades 10 and 12. The Grade 10 school toppers, along with the Grade 12 toppers from the Science, Commerce and Humanities streams, were honoured for their outstanding performance in the CBSE Examination 2025. Students and teachers who secured perfect centum scores in subjects such as Artificial Intelligence, French, Home Science, English, Mathematics, Accountancy, Entrepreneurship, Psychology, Chemistry and Informatics
