

Madrid: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Pedro Sánchez, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain, held a bilateral meeting at the Spanish Council of Ministers headquarters at the Moncloa Palace in Madrid this morning, as part of His Majesty's visit to the Kingdom of Spain.
The meeting served to review the profound historical relations between the two nations and explore avenues for their enhancement to achieve greater benefits for both countries’ peoples, in addition to deliberating upon the latest international developments and matters of shared interest.
Subsequently, an expanded official session of talks was convened with the attendance of the Omani official delegation and their Spanish counterparts.
The session served to review the established pathways of cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Spain, which are built upon enduring foundations of mutual respect and shared interests. The discussions emphasized the importance of broadening the scope of partnership and investment, particularly in the sectors of energy, renewable energy, logistics, food security, manufacturing, aquaculture, and agricultural production. This was complemented by a shared commitment to supporting cultural and educational exchange to fulfill the strategic aspirations of both nations and enhance their mutual benefits.
Preceding the session of talks, commemorative photographs were captured of His Majesty with the Prime Minister of Spain, following which His Majesty inscribed a message in the Distinguished Visitors' Book.
