Madrid: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik arrived in Madrid on Monday, on a three-day state visit to the Kingdom of Spain. When the Royal Airplane entered the Spanish airspace, it was escorted by military jets of the Spanish Air Force, in a manifestation of warm welcome for His Majesty. Upon the arrival at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, His Mjaesty was received at the foot of the ramp by Diego Martínez, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (Head of the Mission of Honour), several Spanish officials, Ambasador of the Sultanate of Oman to Spain and members of the Omani Embassy in Madrid. After that, His Majesty proceeded to the main vehicle, passing between two rows of guard of honour. Then, the motorcade of His Majesty left the airport heading to his venue of residence in Palace of El Pardo. King Felipe VIand his Spouse Queen Letizia will host an official reception protocols for His Majesty the Sultan, at the Royal Palace in Madrid on Tuesday.
