Tehran: President Dr Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran, received Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, at the Presidential Headquarters in Tehran on Monday.
During the meeting, the Minister of Interior conveyed the warm greetings and sincere best wishes of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to President Pezeshkian and the people of Iran, expressing hopes for their continued progress and prosperity.
In response, President Pezeshkian asked the Minister of Interior to convey his own heartfelt greetings and profound respect to His Majesty the Sultan, along with his sincere wishes of enduring wellbeing for His Majesty, and sustained advancement and prosperity for the Omani people.
The discussions during the meeting emphasized the robust bilateral relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran, exploring avenues to further strengthen cooperation across various domains in service of the mutual interests of both nations.
The meeting was attended from the Omani side by Major General Abdullah bin Ali al Harthy, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Customs for Operations and Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel al-Maskari, Head of the GCC and Regional Neighbourhood Department at the Foreign Ministry. Representing the Iranian side was Eskandar Momeni, Minister of Interior.
