

MUSCAT: The second week of the 2025 Omani Women’s Sports Games was filled with excitement and energy, featuring three new tournaments: Hockey5s, Table Tennis, and Athletics, held over two days at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher. The competitions saw wide participation from women’s clubs across the Sultanate of Oman, delivering impressive technical performances and spirited rivalries.
HOCKEY5S RESULTS
Salalah Club dominated the Hockey Fives championship, clinching the title after a well-deserved 2–0 victory over Ahli Sidab in the final match. Ahli Sidab took the runner-up spot, while Masirah Club secured third place with a thrilling 4–3 win over Quriyat in the third-place playoff.
TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP
The Table Tennis competition witnessed strong individual performances, with Salma al Nassri from Ibri Club taking the gold in the singles category after a standout display. Shamsa al Abrawi from Masirah Club finished second, and Samah al Wahibi from Salalah Club came third.
In the team event, Masirah Club continued its fine form, taking first place ahead of Al Amerat Club in second and Ibri Club in third.
ATHLETICS TRACK AND FIELD HIGHLIGHTS
Masirah Club maintained its momentum in the athletics competition, earning first place in the overall standings, followed by Salalah in second and Ahli Sidab in third.
In the junior track events, Azza al Hanai from Masirah excelled by winning both the 100m and 200m races. Fatma al Sinani from Al Amerat placed second in the 100m, while Sa’adah al Azoubi from Masirah finished third in the 100m and second in the 200m. Fatma al Sinani claimed third in the 200m.
In the 400m, Azza al Saqri from Masirah took gold, followed by Wiam al Umayri and Bayan al Sadiri from Salalah in second and third, respectively.
Masirah also triumphed in the 100m relay, ahead of Salalah and Ahli Sidab.
In the junior field events, Dana al Jawari from Masirah won the javelin throw, followed by Miraj al Balushi and Zahra al Balushi from Ahli Sidab. In the shot put, Fatma al Balushi from Masirah claimed gold, with Riham al Badi from Sohar in second place. Wi’am al Umayri from Salalah won the long jump, ahead of Sarah al Hajari from Al Amerat and Muzayyan al Balushi from Salalah.
SENIOR CATEGORY COMPETITIONS
The senior athletes delivered equally impressive performances. Muzoon al Alawi from Salalah won the 100m, followed by Azza al Yaarubi from Masirah and Alaa al Zadjali from Al Kamil W'al Wafi.
In the 200m, Azza al Yaarubi from Masirah captured first place, with Rawan al Manji from Salalah and Bayan al Umayri from Masirah finishing second and third.
The 400m title went to Hanaa al Qasmi from Salalah, followed by Hanan al Jahdhami from Sohar and Umaymah al Hanai from Masirah.
Hanaa al Qasmi continued her dominance by winning the 800m, with Umaymah al Hanai in second and Hanan al Jahdhami in third.
Salalah also captured the 4x100m relay gold ahead of Masirah and Al Kamil W'al Wafi.
In the senior field events, Hibah al Asimi from Qurayat won the javelin throw, followed by Rufaydah al Umayri from Salalah and Ghaniyah al Nassri from Masirah. In the shot put, Asmaa al Sawai from Salalah took first place, followed by Maryah al Hanai and Ghaniyah al Nassri from Masirah.
Finally, Muzoon al Alawi from Salalah earned another gold in the long jump, with Alaa al Zadjali from Al Kamil W'al Wafi taking silver and Sheikha al Hanai from Qurayat earning bronze.
