The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT), through the Oman Logistics Centre and in cooperation with the Oman Logistics Association, has launched the third edition of the 2026 Award for Best Practices in the Logistics Sector. The initiative aims to raise efficiency and strengthen the sector’s regional and global competitiveness, in line with Oman Vision 2040 to position the Sultanate as a global logistics hub through infrastructure upgrades and the adoption of modern best practices.
The award recognises outstanding practices and innovative projects delivered across the logistics value chain in the past twelve months to foster healthy competition and encourage innovation and excellence. Eligible activities include warehousing and storage, shipping lines and their agents, air, sea and road transport, customs brokerage, ports and free zones, ground handling, and freight forwarding.
There are five categories. Omanisation rewards effective policies and procedures for recruiting and developing Omani talent. Health and Safety honours initiatives that strengthened a safety culture and reduced incidents and risks. Net Zero highlights projects that cut emissions and waste and improved energy efficiency. Continuous Improvement and Innovation recognises practices and technologies that raised operational efficiency and productivity. Omani Products and Services commends companies that supported local supply chains and small and medium enterprises.
Entries will be assessed by an independent judging panel of logistics specialists and experts to ensure transparency and credibility. Companies and institutions can register at www.logistics-bpa.com.
