MUSCAT: The Oman Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Authority (OAAA) has officially listed the first qualification in law offered in the Arabic language — a pioneering step aimed at enhancing the outcomes of legal education in Oman.
The initiative comes in response to the directives of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and aligns with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040. It marks a key milestone in implementing the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) in Oman.
The Authority has completed the inclusion of the Bachelor of Law qualification awarded by Al Buraimi University College in the NQF.
Conducted in accordance with the National Qualifications Framework Guide issued in September 2023, the qualification has been placed at Level 8 of the framework, with a total of 129 credit hours.
All qualifications that successfully complete the listing or alignment process are registered in the National Qualifications Register — an official electronic database published on the Authority’s website. The register includes all nationally recognised qualifications listed in or aligned with the framework. — ONA
