AL RUSTAQ: The Ministry of Social Development (MoSD), represented by the Directorate-General of Social Development in Al Batinah South Governorate, signed a memorandum of cooperation with Al Amal International Hospital in Al Rustaq to enhance psychological and rehabilitation services for the elderly and people with disabilities.
The agreement was signed by Maimouna bint Salem al Mandhari, Director-General of Social Development in Al Batinah South Governorate, and Nadeem bin Yousef al Balushi, Chairman of Al Amal International Hospital.
The memorandum affirms the ministry’s commitment to building community partnerships that support integrated care and mental well-being. It covers assessment, follow-up and psychological care for residents of the Social Care Home and beneficiaries of Al Wafa Centre for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities in Al Rustaq.
Al Amal Hospital will also provide free parental consultations, urgent interventions in emergencies, treatment plans and discounted services — including a 20-per cent reduction for rehabilitation cases referred by the directorate and a 25-per cent discount for psychological cases among the elderly and people with disabilities.
Additionally, the hospital will participate in organising educational and awareness programmes for communities in Al Batinah South Governorate. - ONA
