BUKHA, JUNE 7
The Niyabat of Lima in Musandam Governorate witnessed heavy rainfall on Saturday disrupting the traffic, destroying houses and damaging roads. The heavy downpour caused overflowing of wadis including Wadi Al Khaba, Wadi Al Aqub, Wadi Al Aq, Wadi Al Ghabn, Khartoum Al Asfar and Wadi Al Qaseedah.
Hamad bin Ibrahim al Shuhi, Director of Khasab Municipality, said: “The Niyabat of Lima was affected by a rare weather condition that triggered heavy rainfall. As a result, some houses were damaged and internal roads destroyed. The weather conditions also disrupted traffic movement in Lima. Areas affected by heavy rain included Al Soor, Al Sababa, Al Aqab and Al Heena.

Khasab Municipality is working hard to reopen the main roads and internal streets in the affected areas. The municipality will assess and repair the damage to roads and public utilities in the affected areas using municipal equipment and the equipment of companies operating in the district, in cooperation with citizens.”
