There have been several reports of citizens and residents falling victim to fraud through a fake website (phishing) claiming to receive and process complaints and reports, the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations said.

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) said the importance of verifying the authenticity of official websites. The National Platform for Suggestions, Complaints, and Reports (Tajawob) does not request personal or banking information, nor does it require any payments or fees under any circumstances.

Any communication requesting such information is deemed a fraudulent attempt. Communication from the platform's specialized teams is limited solely to completing information related to the submitted request.

The tajawob.om is a unified, centralized system with multiple access points, seamlessly connected to government entities that can be used by both citizens and residents in the country.

It is a major step in digital transformation after the Unified Government Services Portal (gov.om), which was launched by the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology (MTCIT) to provide access to essential government services.

The platform offers citizens and residents to report even local and civic issues, such as roads in a local area that need attention of the authorities for repairs to ensure the safety of both drivers and pedestrians.
