Moderate rains likely over several governorates

Muscat: The Oman Meteorology Office said rainfall is expected over several governorates of the Sultanate of Oman from Monday, August 18 to Wednesday, August 20.

According to weather forecasts, moderate rainfall is anticipated over the governorates of North al Sharqiyah, South al Sharqiyah, al Dakhiliyah, al Wusta, and Dhofar.

The alert highlighted that the rainfall may lead to scattered showers, flow of wadis, and minor disruptions to road traffic. The likelihood of occurrence was described as "possible", with conditions expected to remain moderate.

People have been advised to stay updated on weather reports, exercise caution while driving, and avoid crossing wadis during rainfall.
