The Muscat Governorate has said that drivers or vehicle owners can request an assessment of the damages to public road infrastructure resulting from the accident and obtain an approved technical report with the costs online. 


The procedures include obtaining basic documents online for the traffic accident costs claim service - evaluation form (material damages) issued by the Royal Oman Police.

Submitting the Application

The affected-person can submit the application electronically via the Muscat Municipality portal www.mm.gov.om, attaching an assessment form (material damages) issued by the Royal Oman Police.
The competent employee reviews the application and the attached documents, then a specialized technical team is sent to the accident site to inspect the damage and carry out repairs.
The technical team prepares a detailed report showing the repairs carried out, along with the costs of the damages resulting from the accident.

There were 338 accidents related to vehicles hitting fixed objects in 2024, of which 86 were in Muscat, 42 in Musandam, 52 in Al Dhakiliyah, 51 in South al Sharqiyah, 33 in North al Sharqiyah, and 28 in Al Dhahirah.
