Muscat: Oman Air has announced the launch of a new direct flight route connecting Muscat to Amsterdam, set to begin on 1 July 2025. The route will operate four times a week and marks the airline’s 11th European destination.

The announcement was made during a signing ceremony attended by Oman Air CEO Con Korfiatis and Royal Schiphol Group CEO Pieter van Oord, held alongside His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s state visit to the Netherlands.

Korfiatis said the move supports Oman Air’s strategy to expand in key markets, highlighting Amsterdam as a major European hub for both business and leisure travel. Van Oord noted the new service would further strengthen economic and cultural ties between Oman and the Netherlands.

The route will be serviced by Oman Air’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft and coincides with the airline’s upcoming entry into the oneworld Alliance, offering enhanced benefits and connectivity for travellers.
