

Muscat: The prestigious Al Bashayer Festival for Purebred Arabian Camel Racing 2025 competitions concluded with thrilling performances over six days, awarding 20 cars to top competitors.
The closing ceremony at Al Bashayer Arabian Camel Racecourse in the Wilayat of Adam was presided over by His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan.
The event was held from February 10 to 15, saw fierce competition among elite camel owners from Oman, the UAE and Qatar.
The eighth edition witnessed 5,320 camels competing in 84 races for prestigious prizes, including 20 cars, three daggers, three guns, seven cups and the coveted golden and silver swords.

The last car was won by Qatar’s camel ‘Shahaniyah’ owned by Hijen Al Shahaniyah.
In addition to the car prizes the winner received one of the festival icons, daggers, guns, cups, or swords depending on the race categories.
