Oman to host regional office of International Science Council

Muscat: Around 450 scholars gathered in Muscat for the Muscat Global Knowledge Dialogue, hosted by the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation (MoHESRI) in collaboration with the International Science Council.


The forum witnessed the signing of the establishment of a regional office for the International Science Council in the Middle East in #Muscat, and the implementation of a special program for cooperation in the fields of science, technology, and innovation.


Inaugurated under the patronage of HH Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty, the forum focuses on cutting-edge developments in artificial intelligence (AI), sustainability, and biotechnology.


The two-day event aims to foster dialogue on the role of AI in advancing scientific research and shaping policies, as well as exploring strategies to promote sustainable development. Experts from across the globe are sharing insights and best practices to address challenges and opportunities in these dynamic fields.


By bringing together international thought leaders, the forum underscores Oman’s commitment to advancing knowledge-driven innovation and contributing to global scientific progress.
