The Malaysian Health Week for Healthcare will kick off today at the Mall of Oman. The event is organized by the Malaysian Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC). It will continue until January 25, 2025, under the patronage of Dr. Siham bint Ahmed al Harthy, a board member of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairwoman of the Tourism Committee at the Chamber.

Prominent medical centers and hospitals will participate in Malaysian Health Week, including Prince Court Medical Centre, KPJ Healthcare, PERKESO Rehabilitation Centre, and Cengild G.I Medical Centre.

Dr. Muhammad Ali Abu Bakar, CEO of the Malaysian Healthcare Travel Council, expressed his delight at starting the new year 2025 with the first Malaysian Healthcare Tourism Week in Oman. The event aims to showcase Malaysian hospitals' medical services in specialized fields such as cardiology and cardiac surgery, rehabilitation, joint replacement, spinal surgery, comprehensive cosmetic surgery, bone marrow transplantation, cancer diagnosis, chemotherapy, and cerebral palsy treatment.

In addition, Malaysia's integrated health approach, which includes preventive medicine, traditional medicine, and complementary therapies, will be highlighted. Free medical consultations will also be offered to patients, along with information about Malaysian medical services and promotional packages.
