

MUSCAT: The 12th Gulf Municipal Work Conference begins in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on Sunday. The Sultanate of Oman’s delegation to the conference will be headed by Shaikh Hilal bin Said al Hajri, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah.
Held under the theme ‘Sustainable Municipal Work’, the three-day conference will see the presentation of specialised working papers and workshops which will review the most prominent development initiatives and projects in the municipal sector. A number of smart platforms applying modern technologies in municipal services management, will also be displayed.
The conference will also include scientific research and working papers, discussion panels and lectures focusing on modern trends and successful practices in the field of planning. This is in addition to an accompanying exhibition showcasing the latest products, technologies, innovations and successful experiences in municipal work. — ONA
