Muscat Nights, now extended until February 1, continues to light up the city’s nightlife, captivating thousands of visitors since its launch on December 23. The festival has succeeded in bringing together an exciting blend of activities, culinary delights, cultural experiences, and entertainment for all age groups.
Adding a special touch to the festivities is the open-air cinema experience, where visitors can enjoy their favourite movies under the stars at Qurum Natural Park and Naseem Gardens.
With cozy beanbags and a vast screen set against the night sky, this unique offering by Lunar Cinema has become a crowd favourite.
Whether it’s the beloved children’s classic 'The Jungle Book' or the action-packed 'Pushpa 2' for adult audiences, moviegoers are flocking to these outdoor screenings. The two daily shows, starting at 6:30 pm, allow families and friends to relax, enjoy popcorn, and immerse themselves in cinematic magic.
“My children thoroughly enjoyed watching their favourite flicks on the big screen at the Muscat Nights in Naseem Garden,” said Ahmed Al Wuhaibi, a civil servant from Barka. He praised the affordable entry fees, which made the experience even more attractive for families.
Located next to the adventure zone, the open-air cinemas seamlessly blend into the vibrant atmosphere of Muscat Nights. Visitors of all ages are drawn to the big screen, creating cherished memories while the excitement of gaming areas and other attractions buzzes in the background.
The Lunar Cinema team has announced that the movie lineup changes every Thursday, keeping the selection fresh and appealing to returning audiences. Over the past two weeks, these screenings have been a blessing for movie buffs, offering a one-of-a-kind experience that combines entertainment with the charm of the outdoors.
Parents have expressed their delight at how Muscat Nights keeps everyone engaged. “Watching movies outdoors, alongside the various activities here, has been a joy for toddlers to teens,” shared another parent. “It’s heartwarming to see our kids so happy as Muscat Nights truly offers something for everyone.”
Families huddled together on blankets, munching popcorn while enjoying classics like 'The Lion King', have made the open-air cinema a magical and unforgettable experience.
