SALALAH: The Directorate-General of Education in the Wilayat of Salalah, Dhofar Governorate, celebrated on Sunday at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment the graduation of 360 educators from the Specialised Institute for Vocational Training for Teachers.


The graduates belong to the fourth, fifth and sixth batches of the institute. Dr Fatima bint Ahmed al Ghassaniyah, Director of the Educational Supervision Department at Dhofar Education, delivered the Directorate-General’s speech, highlighting that the establishment of the Specialised Institute for Vocational Training for Teachers aims to meet the evolving needs of the educational system.

The institute plays a vital role in providing specialised human resources in line with the modern requirements of education through strategic programmes that are sustainable, comprehensive, and development-focused.


She elaborated on the institute’s strategic programmes, including the school leadership programme for principals and their assistants, the supervision experts programme for educational supervisors, and various programmes for subject and new teachers.
