MUSCAT: The Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science has announced that 59 contestants have qualified for the final rounds of the 32nd Sultan Qaboos Holy Quran Competition, an event dedicated to fostering Quranic knowledge and skills among Omanis.
The finalists, representing seven levels of memorisation and recitation, were selected from over 1,790 participants in the preliminary rounds. The competition aims to enhance participants’ understanding of the Quran while promoting memorisation and eloquent recitation. The final rounds will take place at the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque tomorrow, November 24, with winners to be honoured for their dedication to preserving Islamic traditions. - ONA
