Oman Flour Mills secures subsidy to stabilise wheat prices

Muscat: Oman Flour Mills Company (SAOG) has announced receiving official confirmation from the government regarding a subsidy for wheat, effective from May 1, 2024, for a duration of one year.


The subsidy comes as a proactive measure to address the sharp rise in global wheat prices.


It reflects the government’s commitment to stabilizing flour prices in the local market, ensuring affordable access to essential goods for residents and businesses alike.


According to the Company, further details about the subsidy will be shared in its upcoming financial statements.


Meanwhile, this initiative underscores the government’s efforts to mitigate the impact of global price fluctuations on the local economy.
